I didn't know very much about Garron Noone before this media attack and subsequent outcry defending him so Stephen thanks for providing me with the relevant information on the man and his decision to shut down his online site.
I listened to what this intelligent sensitive soul said about immigration into Ireland and he wasn't extreme nor indeed hateful in any way whatsoever, in fact he was the opposite of that as he was articulate, calm and reasonable. I must ask the question however as to why he hasn't spoken out on this issue before now? Is it because that squalid showman McGregor was stealing the limelight and a touch of jealousy and one up manship crept in or did he genuinely just have enough of the state/ media propaganda and censorship and was impelled to speak out! I do hope that it's the latter situation and that he returns to the airwaves and continues to speak his mind and stands up to the malevolent bullies online because Ireland needs people of his calibre to continually challenge the Dogmatism Of Orthodoxy in this country.
I felt Garron's comments were succinct and mature, and left a comment saying as such on his youtube video. It's a shame that such a decent person is being persecuted by the zealots, all because they cannot deal with complex topics in a mature manner.
I'm not happy with the term "anti immigrant" or "anti immigration"
Nobody i know is of that frame of mind. But we are anti people traficking - and against pushing our own down the queue behind persons drawn by favourable treatment & incredibly generous taxpayer payments without ever having any integration thoughts apart from integrating in to the welfare system.
The idea that were still at a stage where we even need "messengers" about Irelands problems is damning
Superb article-as always! Thank you.

Excellent piece Stephen, maith an fear.
Thanks a million Ronan
Your audio narrator is calling him 'No One' 🙂
As long as it doesn’t call him Surley

He was immaculate with his approach. Showed what kind of people are out there
Better to be far right than far wrong!
Excellent article.
“He has a million followers on instagram” 🥳 that’s about 999950 more than your RTE approved “celebrity” or Irish times “journalist”
Fact.
His video about McGregor is still on Youtube, as is the account itself: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sgSL4EuQMzI
It does seem like he unpublished some other videos though?
Hopefully a friend is over helping him through this.
Yes I think he will be going through a major change now. He couldn’t stsy ignorant of the current affairs of his country any longer

There is no such thing as “anti-Immigration”.
Thanks Stephen-
this is not a comment on the article above - but a comment in general on a trap the concerned can & do easily fall in to.
