A Resistance Forms

JK Rowling, blah blah blah, JK Rowling. That’s all we are hearing right now but why? Well, for starters, Rowling has for years now been outspoken against the Trans nonsense while also being an ardent supporter of gay rights. Rowling even said she would march in defense of Trans people should a genuine discriminatory measure be introduced against them but refused to stay silent on the perversion and mission creep with the youth. For this nuanced stance, the Woke brigade have been attacking Rowling relentlessly for the best part of a decade as their rhetoric transitioned from soft awareness based campaigning to direct Fascistic demands of compliance to their will. There is also the fact that Rowling is responsible for the stillbirth of Scotland’s Hate Speech Bill, which the troon army believed would be their chance to jail Rowling and the rest of us for our insolence. Rowling immediately laid down the gauntlet to the Scottish authorities day one, leading to one of the most impressive triumphs of common sense in modern history. They point blank refused to prosecute, much to the dismay of the grammar Nazis.

The targeting of Rowling is absolutely because of her defiance of the Anti-Freedom laws, status, and intelligent case making. Very few people attribute this hatred to the fact that she wrote perhaps one of the most based children book series you could imagine. A look at the world of Harry Potter shows Rowling's deep understanding of the Woke threat years ago and her prediction of the emergence of a loose brotherhood or fraternity against it. This social transition we have experienced, from a free prosperous society to a dystopian hellhole, was completely outlined in the 5th book/film in the series, entitled Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix. In this part of the series, The Wizarding world is infiltrated by a grand conspiracy. All institutions buckle under the ridiculous weight of wokeness although wokeness had yet to earn that name. The film version of the book really brings to life Rowling’s predictions of the current state of affairs in society. The Ministry of Magic, the Magic worlds government, gets infiltrated by agents of Voldemort’s collective and begins silencing all information about his return as more and more positions of power are filled with draconian busy-body tyrants. The Vibrant Wizard Shopping street known as Diagon Alley goes broke and all the businesses close down. Sound familiar? It should do because this is the story that is happening in every town and village across Ireland. Each and every community group across Ireland has now formed its own conclave of résistance to this on its own terms which brings me to the title of the article. If you have resisted, if you have even thought about resisting, then you are in The Order Of The Phoenix.

The Order Of The Phoenix

Rowling went into great detail in TOOTP around how the Wizarding worlds rebels formed a secret order in order to resist the Orwellian top down dictatorship. The order, formed from the ashes of the previous version of itself, gathers old members and new in a secret safe house to begin their plans to form a resistance. The wider wizarding world begins to have their actions arbitrarily scrutinised and measured by the Ministry, itself all the while denying the existence of the conspiracy. This boils over into the lives of the children in Hogwarts as the Ministry sends one of its authoritarian generals to Hogwarts as a spy under the guise of being a teacher. The character, called Delores Umbridge, begins her tenure in the post of defense against the dark arts. She refuses to teach the children any practical skills or spells, purposefully sabotaging them, stunting their development as potential warriors ahead of Voldemort’s attack. She eventually turns Hogwarts into a Gulag, deposing and replacing Dumbledore as the headmaster and begins the mission creep of rules and regulations. She is everything that we observe in woke politics and the education sector that we see going wrong today; evil, authoritarian, sadistic and all behind a veil of an over groomed, overdressed image of virtue and tolerance complete with rehearsed facial expressions and gestures. The Parallels between Umbridge and our very own Minister for Education, Norma Foley are startling. This over pruned, saccharine look that Foley presents with is text book Umbridge but this can be seen throughout the political and NGO middle class.

Scissor Sisters

People such as this would have been unable to formulate meaningful social groups in school due to their over particular micro managing of others, unwillingness to compromise, be generous, compassionate or even interested unless it is something the teacher has said, and even then it is only a ploy to climb the ladder of power. These are natural born Machiavellians. In Umbridge’s story, written by Rowling in 2001-2002, she is past student of Hogwarts who was in House Slytherin and even within this house of degenerates, she was prevented from holding a position of power because all around her knew she was unfit to wield power. In the real world we all encountered this situation in our classrooms growing up. There was always one of these freaks but sometimes more. Norma Foley is such a person. She has come into politics through her family, her father being a TD before her. She was a local councillor in Kerry from 1994 at 24 years of age up until her election to the Dail in 2020. She tried to get elected to the Dail every election between 1994 and 2020 without success, even with the launchpad of the council seat gifted to her by her father. What does that tell you? It tells you that Norma Foley was prevented even within her own party from gaining a National Parliament seat for the bones of three decades. It tells you that she was identified by all around her as someone who was unfit to wield power. That is until Michael Martin seen her cold blooded ambition and lack of morals and granted her passage to the Dail while overlooking real good people within the party.

This stark comparison can be seen throughout the Harry Potter Series but The Order of the Phoenix really hits home, arguably better than 1984. I believe it hits home better because it is George Orwell for kids and grownups alike. A young teen having these thoughts and ideas about their government, their teachers and their media need a point of reference to discern what is right and wrong. what is strange and what is not. The empowerment of the adolescent mind against tyrannical forces really comes into itself when the students of Hogwarts emulate The Order Of The Phoenix and create Dumbledore’s Army, training Magic in secret in order to defend themselves when the time comes. They find a secret room in the castle and set up what I can only describe as an IRA training camp for wizards. It is a serious piece of craftwork from Rowling who as I said, wrote this particular part of the story around 2001-2002.

Look at Rowling now? She is the Sirius Black of her own story. In this case Rowling would be accused of ‘deadnaming’ scabbers the rat by calling it by his true name, Peter Pettigrew, a wizard who transed into a rat so that he could live with a little boy as his pet. For ousting this trans person using his past identity he would sentenced to Azkaban for hatespeech. I believe Rowling to be a far superior intellect than we may have ever given credit for in the past. She is decades ahead of these totalitarian freaks but to be honest, I am slowly starting to realise a lot of society was and is. Like Black, Rowling is prepared to be seen as a villain to ultimately protect people and values that she loves. She is even willing to go to jail for it. She may not realise it, but Rowling is end product of her own character creation arcs. Through her ability to create characters who can identify tyranny and fight against it, Rowling has crafter herself into a weapon. A multi-millionaire who would gladly fuck it all into an escrow account for an army of barristers and solicitors just to destroy the Umbridge’s of the world.
