I Want To Write A Book
Using Substack, I want to write and release a science fiction fiction novel, one chapter at a time.
I am long stuck on the thought of writing a science fiction novel through Substack. Using the format of Substack to release a book one chapter at a time, I aim to attempt to see if the format works. I have the spine of a story fleshed out already and I feel that I can make it work. Although a lot of my writing is serious and political in nature, I do possess humour and creative capabilities which I have neglected to display. The reason for writing this post is to float the idea to my readership and to also test the waters to see if this project would be suitable for the paid subscription model.
I have paid subscribers who have subscribed purely to support me voluntarily in the knowledge that all of my articles are free anyway. I intend to make this book a paid subscriber only project to offer those people something unique but also to entice some more of my readership to subscribe to this project. Although I can write expressively, the long format of a novel will be huge challenge for me as I don’t actually understand the English language in terms of punctuation, pacing or any of the other shite that missed in school. I intend to relearn some of these concepts as I release the chapters one by one. Rather than seek your approval, I am going to simply go ahead and do it and fuck the begrudgers.
The working title of this “Stack novel” is Imperceptible. The prologue and the first chapter or two will be available to everyone, and after that I will aim to release each chapter for paid subscribers as it natural lays itself through my fingers. I am setting no expectations in regards to quality or regularity of chapters. It will happen when it happens and it will be as good as the reader deems it to be.
I will keep you posted.
We are at war, 20,000 post-injection dead in Ireland. This is information war, the way to fight is to exit echo chambers and to inform the uninformed.
Go for it, you legend🙌
